In an ironic twist, LMU squared off against Tiffin on Saturday in the final game of a three-game series. The Railsplitters won both games in the doubleheader on Friday against the Dragons. Saturday’s game was no different as LMU used two grand slams to defeat Tiffin 13-3.
The Dragons took a 3-0 lead early in the game thanks to three RBIs from designated hitter Alex Hartley. LMU went on to score 13 unanswered runs with the help of two grand slams from H.D. Dillard and Russell Clark.
Most of the game consisted of my shadowing GA Joe Swanson. He was operating the scoreboard, which is actually a pretty complicated system from what I could see. I also did some spotting as it pertained to player changes.
